1.Product Overview

ASTM A213 T22 (corresponding to European EN standard 1.7380) is a chromium-molybdenum low-alloy heat-resistant steel. The Studded Fin Tube is a high-efficiency heat transfer component made by welding stud-like fins on the surface of seamless cold-drawn T22 tubes. Its defining characteristics are the Cr-Mo element composition (providing excellent high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance and creep resistance) and the studded fin structure (greatly increasing the external heat transfer area). It fills the demand for high-efficiency heat exchange in high-temperature and high-pressure harsh conditions, and is a core component in energy and petrochemical heat transfer equipment.


ASTM A213 T22 Studded Fin Tube is a high-temperature-resistant, efficiency-enhanced tubular product, specifically designed for high-heat-flux heat exchange scenarios, commonly used in superheaters, reheaters and waste heat recovery equipment.

5.T22 Studded Fin Tube vs. Similar Products

T22 vs. T11 Studded Fin Tube: T11 is a low Cr-Mo steel (Cr~1.25%, Mo~0.5%), while T22 has higher Cr/Mo content—its high-temperature strength and creep resistance are better, suitable for working conditions up to 593℃; T11 is more cost-effective, applicable to lower-temperature heat exchange scenarios.


T22 vs. TP304 Studded Fin Tube: T22 fin tubes have far superior high-temperature strength (especially above 500℃) than TP304 stainless steel fin tubes, but weaker corrosion resistance; it is suitable for high-temperature oxidative fluid heat exchange, while TP304 is for medium-temperature corrosive media.
