Studded Tubes Finned Tubes Alloy Steel ASTM A335 P9 For 500℃ Working Temperature

 

ASTM A335 / ASME SA335 P9 is a seamless ferritic alloy steel pipe, grade UNS K90941, composed of a 9Cr-1Mo alloy. P9 material exhibits excellent high-temperature creep strength and superior resistance to oxidation and sulfide corrosion. It can operate at temperatures up to 550–600°C and is suitable for high-pressure, high-temperature thermal equipment. P9 is specifically designed for high frequency welded finned tubes,serrated finned tubes and studded finned tubes and can be used in heat exchanger tube production.

 

This type of finned tube - studded finned tube has high heat exchange efficiency, large stud spacing, is dirt-resistant and easy to clean; it has high mechanical rigidity and is resistant to flue gas erosion and thermal cycle fatigue; it is perfectly suited for environments with heavy dust and high sulfur flue gas.

Post-weld inspection: Weld integrity penetrant testing (PT), stud pull-out strength testing;

 

Compliance with standards: ASME Section 1, ASME Section 8, API 661, PED Pressure Equipment Directive;

 

Provide a complete set of factory documentation: Material Testing Certificate (MTC), heat treatment report, non-destructive testing report, dimensional inspection records, PMI report, etc.

With our humidity and year-round high temps, corrosion resistance and heat transfer are always a concern. These tubes have been performing nicely.

Good oxidation resistance, matches well with the T9. No scaling or thinning noticed.

the SS409 pins resist sulfur corrosion better than carbon steel pins we used earlier. In furnace service, that means longer runs between maintenance.
