ASTM A213 TP321 / UNS S32100 Stainless Steel Seamless Tube Pickled and Annealed Heat Exchanger Tube

 

 

ASTM A213 UNS S32100 / TP321 Pickled and Annealed EN 1.4541 Heat Exchanger Tube is a seamless austenitic stainless steel tube made from titanium-stabilized 18Cr-10Ni stainless steel, grade TP321 / UNS S32100, equivalent to EN 1.4541 / X6CrNiTi18-10. It is supplied in the pickled and annealed (P&A) condition — solution annealed at about 1050–1120°C and then acid pickled to remove heat scale and restore a clean, passive surface. It is designed mainly for boilers, superheaters, condensers, and shell-and-tube heat exchangers.

 
 

Heat Treatment & Surface Condition

  • Solution Annealing: 1050–1120°C, followed by rapid cooling (water or air).

  • Pickling: Nitric-hydrofluoric acid mixture to remove heat scale and chromium-depleted surface layer.

  • Surface Finish: Matte grey/white, clean and passivated.

  • Common Condition: Pickled & Annealed (P&A).

It's genuine 321H — titanium-stabilized, so no worries about sensitization or intergranular corrosion during welding. Our welder said it welded nicely with no cracking.
