ASME SA789 UNS S32750 / SAF 2507 super duplex stainless steel seamless tubing. A seamless tube that forms the boundary between two fluid streams in a shell‑and‑tube heat exchanger. The material – super duplex UNS S32750 – is selected when the shellside or tubeside fluid contains high levels of chlorides (e.g., seawater, brine, produced water) or hydrogen sulfide (sour service). Its high strength allows it to withstand thermal cycling and pressure pulsations, while its corrosion resistance prevents the tube wall from thinning, pitting, or cracking – the three leading causes of heat exchanger tube failure. Typical applications: offshore platform coolers, desalination brine heaters, and FGD reheater tubes.
