Product Description

ASME SA213 T12 Base Tube Strength

  • Efficient heat exchange: The U-shaped design and fin structure significantly increase the heat exchange surface area, which improves the heat transfer efficiency and enables higher heat transfer in a smaller space.
  • Excellent corrosion resistance: The use of high-performance alloy materials (such as stainless steel, copper alloy, etc.), can resist the erosion of a variety of chemical substances, suitable for use in corrosive environments.
  • Good high temperature resistance: alloy material can withstand high temperature conditions, suitable for high temperature environment, maintain good performance and structural stability.
  • Strength and toughness: Alloy materials usually have higher strength and toughness, can withstand higher pressure and mechanical loads, and extend the service life.
  • Easy to process and install: Alloy materials are easy to process and weld, easy to manufacture and install on site.

ASME SA213 T12 Solid Fin Tube FAQ

1. How to choose the appropriate alloy U-fin tube should consider the following factors:

  • Operating temperature and pressure
  • Fluid characteristics (e.g., corrosion)
  • Heat exchange efficiency requirements
  • Installation space and layout

2. What are the maintenance requirements for alloy U-fin tubes?

  • Check pipes regularly for leaks or corrosion.
  • Clean the fins to remove dirt and deposits and ensure heat exchange efficiency.
  • Monitor the operating temperature and pressure to ensure operation within the design range.

3. How long is the life of alloy U-fin tube?

  • Life depends on the use of the environment and maintenance, usually under normal operation and regular maintenance, can reach several years to ten years.

4. How difficult is the installation of alloy U-fin tube?

  • Installation is relatively simple and usually requires professional technicians to weld and connect to ensure tightness and stability.

5. Compared with U-fin tubes of other materials, what are the advantages of alloy U-fin tubes?

  • Alloy materials generally have better corrosion and high temperature resistance, are suitable for more demanding environments than carbon steel or other materials, and have higher heat exchange efficiency.

ASME SA213 T12 Solid Fin Tube Used In Reactor Cooler and Condenser

The alloy steel U-fin tube is a specially designed heat exchange element that utilizes its unique shape and material properties to improve heat exchange efficiency. The tube is U-shaped, allowing fluid to circulate continuously in the tube, increasing the contact area with the external medium and improving the heat exchange capacity. An additional fin structure on the outer surface of the tube, usually made of alloy material, further expands the heat exchange surface area and improves the heat transfer efficiency. High performance alloy material, with excellent corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and strength, suitable for use in harsh environments.

As an engineer in Siberia, I tested these fin tubes in extreme cold (-30°C). The ASTM A213 T11 steel performed well with no thermal cracks, and cooling efficiency met expectations (88%). That said, the Russian-language documentation had translation errors in technical terms, causing minor confusion during installation.

Really good quality, the ASME SA249 standard is the real deal. I was worried about the fins getting crushed during the long trip, but the packaging was top-notch—not a single one was bent.
