This ASTM A249 TP304L L-type wound finned tube is a high-efficiency heat transfer component. Made with a TP304L stainless steel base tube, it offers excellent corrosion resistance and reliable mechanical performance. The tube is helically wound with Al1060 aluminum fins, and the L-type fin foot ensures firm contact and strong bonding. With high thermal conductivity and an extended heat exchange area, this finned tube performs reliably in boilers, condensers and air cooling systems.

| Chemical Composition | High Chromium (~18%) & Nickel (~8%) | Primarily Iron; Low Carbon (<0.18%) |
| Corrosion Resistance | Excellent; resistant to oxidation and organic/inorganic media. | Poor; prone to rusting without coating or treatment. |
| Thermal Conductivity | Lower (~15 W/m·K) | Higher (~45-50 W/m·K) |
| Temperature Range | High temperature stability (up to 600°C+). | Limited; generally used below 400°C. |
| Mechanical Strength | Maintains strength at high temperatures. | Good ductility, but loses strength at high heat. |
• Air-Cooled Heat Exchangers (ACHE): Used in oil & gas, petrochemical, and power plants to cool process fluids using ambient air.
• Radiator and Cooling Coils: For engine jacket water coolers, transformer oil coolers, and hydraulic oil coolers.
• Dry Cooling Towers: Where water conservation is critical, these tubes reject heat directly to air.
• Compressor Intercoolers and Aftercoolers: Cooling compressed air or gas between stages.
• Industrial HVAC Coils: Air heating or cooling coils in large ventilation systems where the air side is relatively clean.
• Waste Heat Recovery: Lowtemperature flue gas heat recovery upstream of baghouses or electrostatic precipitators.
