Stainless Steel Seamless Tube, ASTM SA213 TP304 (1.4301, SUS304) For Petrochemical Application

The designation ASME SA213 indicates that the tube meets the specifications set by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) for seamless ferritic and austenitic alloy-steel boiler, superheater, and heat exchanger tubes. ASME SA213 outlines the necessary testing procedures, including hydrostatic tests, non-destructive testing, and dimensional inspections, to verify the quality and safety of the tubes.

TP304 has good resistance to a wide range of corrosive environments, although it may not be suitable for chloride-containing environments, which can lead to pitting corrosion. TP304 is a type of austenitic stainless steel, primarily composed of iron, chromium (18-20%), and nickel (8-10.5%). This composition gives it excellent corrosion resistance and good weldability.

With high firebox temps and some sour gas in the mix, regular carbon tubes don't last. These have been solid.
