This page covers the seamless tube we cold-draw from UNS N06601 (Alloy 601 / W.Nr. 2.4851), the alumina-forming nickel-chromium-iron grade that buyers specify after 304H, 309S, 310S or Alloy 600 tubes have already failed by external scale spalling, wall thinning or creep sag in the 900–1150 °C band.
The tube is manufactured to ASTM B167 / ASME SB167 in the cold-drawn, solution-annealed and pickled condition, supplied with PE (plain end) or BE (bevel end), examined 100% by hydrostatic (HT) or eddy current (ET), and released with a heat-number-traced EN 10204 Type 3.1 mill test certificate.
Outside diameter is offered from 1/2 inch to 98 inch, the minimum order quantity is 500 KGS, and delivery runs 45–60 days depending on size and test scope. Because the certificate pack, PMI record and dimensional report travel with each heat number, the tube can go straight into a pressure-retaining or fired-heater assembly without a second round of incoming inspection.
This module is the compliance core of the page. It states where the tube is deployed, which failure it removes, which specification governs each property, and which document proves that property at the point of delivery. Plant engineers, EPC reviewers and third-party inspectors normally read it in the order of service scenario, failure mode, governing standard and evidence, then cross-check the grade against the substitutes that were quoted.
