ASTM A213 T91 HFW Serrated Finned Tubes For Heat Recovery Steam Generator HRSG

 

HRSG heat recovery steam generator is a waste heat boiler that recovers exhaust heat from gas turbines to generate steam.This equipment can capture high-temperature flue gas waste heat, heat water into steam for power generation, heating or industrial use. The main purpose is to improve overall power generation efficiency, cut fuel consumption and emissions.Usually used in combined cycle power plants, energy saving & waste heat utilization projects.

 

ASTM A213 T91 HFW serrated finned tubes are the preferred choice for HRSG superheater/reheater sections because they combine high-temperature strength, superior heat transfer, low fouling, and long-term reliability under harsh conditions of gas turbine exhaust (500-650°C, high ash, thermal cycling).T91 is a modified 9Cr‑1Mo‑V‑Nb ferritic‑martensitic steel designed for extreme service.The most important is that gas turbine exhaust is hot (500–600°C), dusty, and cyclic. T91 avoids the creep, oxidation, and thermal fatigue failures that plague T22/T11 in high‑temperature zones.

Parts Using Finned Tubes in Heat Recovery Steam Generator HRSG

 

1. Low-stage Evaporator & Economizer: Mainly adopts finned tubes to absorb low-temperature flue gas heat, preheat feed water, usually use solid finned tubes.

 

2. High-stage Evaporator: Core heat exchange section, widely use serrated finned tubes to boil water into saturated steam.

 

3.High-tempeture Superheater & Reheater: High-temperature zone, generally apply serrated finned tubes for efficient heat absorption.

 

4.Drain cooler / Preheater sections: Auxiliary heat exchange areas also equip finned tubes, solid fiined tubes more be used.

 

Serrated fins are typically used in areas that require high flue gas temperatures, high ash content, and frequent thermal cycling, and where enhanced heat transfer and anti-fouling performance are needed.

No leaks, no fin damage, performance consistent. Heat transfer hasn't dropped, so fouling doesn't seem to be a problem yet.
