It combines a seamless chromium-molybdenum alloy steel base tube (ASME SA335 P9) with helically wound solid carbon steel fins bonded via high-frequency welding (HFW). This robust design delivers exceptional resistance to sulfidation and oxidation up to 600°C (1,112°F), making it ideal for refinery heaters, coker units, and high-sulfur flue gas applications.

It's genuine 321H — titanium-stabilized, so no worries about sensitization or intergranular corrosion during welding. Our welder said it welded nicely with no cracking.

The 13Cr pins add some cost, but for sour service in furnaces, it's worth it. Already seeing longer run times between turnarounds compared to before.

As an engineer in Siberia, I tested these fin tubes in extreme cold (-30°C). The ASTM A213 T11 steel performed well with no thermal cracks, and cooling efficiency met expectations (88%). That said, the Russian-language documentation had translation errors in technical terms, causing minor confusion during installation.
