The ASTM B111 C70600-O61 Copper Nickel Low Finned Tube is a specialized heat exchanger tube made from a 90/10 copper-nickel alloy (90% copper and 10% nickel). This material is widely recognized for its excellent resistance to corrosion, particularly in marine and seawater environments, as well as its superior thermal and mechanical properties.

 

 

Key Features:

1. Material Composition (C70600):

· Copper: 88.7% – 91.2%

· Nickel: 9.0% – 11.0%

· Iron: 1.0% – 1.8%

· Manganese: 1.0% max

· Other trace elements within ASTM specifications.

2. Condition: O61

· This indicates the annealed condition, providing excellent workability, ductility, and corrosion resistance.

3. Low Finned Tube Design:

· The low finned structure increases the surface area of the tube, significantly enhancing its heat transfer efficiency. This design is ideal for applications where compact heat exchangers are required.

4. Corrosion Resistance:

· Exceptional resistance to seawater corrosion, biofouling, and stress corrosion cracking.
