As the same with other types finned tubes, serrated finned tubes are also a type for extending surface heat exchanger tube designed to significantly improve heat transfer efficiency.

 

Fins of serrated finned tubes can be in various shapes, such as U-shaped or V-shaped, which help in disrupting the boundary layer and promoting turbulent flow, thereby enhancing heat transfer efficiency, required by clients.

 

The choice of finned tubes' material depends on the specific application requirements, such as corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity, and mechanical strength.Its' bare tube and fin materials may be carbon, stainless steel, copper, ferritic alloy or austenitic alloy steel and can be of similar or dissimilar material combinations.
