The ASTM A213 T11 (K11597) Serrated Fin Tube with AL1060 Fin is a high-performance heat exchanger tube made from chromium-molybdenum steel, designed for superior heat transfer efficiency in high-temperature applications. Its serrated aluminum fins (AL1060) enhance surface area, providing increased thermal conductivity and improved heat dissipation.

● Chemical Composition :T22 The higher chromium and molybdenum content compared to T11 gives T22 superior high-temperature tensile/creep strength, as well as significantly better resistance to oxidation and sulfide corrosion.
● Typical Max Continuous Service Temperature :The maximum continuous operating temperature of T22 is approximately 580-600°C, while the maximum continuous operating temperature of T11 is 540-560°C.
● Relative Cost:T11 is more economical, while T22 is more expensive because it has a higher chromium and molybdenum content and is a high-quality material.
● Typical Application Scenarios:T11 serves as a cost-effective workhorse for medium-temperature services like low-temperature superheaters and non-corrosive exchangers. In contrast, T22 is a premium grade specified for high-temperature surfaces in boilers firing sulfurous fuels, components demanding extended creep life, and heaters facing severe sulfidation risks.
● Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) & Boilers: Extracting waste heat from corrosive flue gases (containing sulfur, moisture) to heat water/steam inside the T11 tubes.
● Air Preheaters: Heating combustion air for boilers and furnaces using hot flue gases.
● Process Gas Cooling: Cooling hot process streams in chemical/petrochemical plants where the external gas is moist or mildly corrosive.
● Marine & Offshore Applications: For heaters and coolers exposed to salt-laden atmospheres, where aluminum fins provide much better resistance than carbon steel.
