YUHONG GROUP - Different states of Copper Tubes
I. Differences in definitions
1. The tensile strength of hard state copper tube is between 320Mpa and 460Mpa, the elongation is lower than 5%, the hardness value is higher, the Vickers hardness HV5 is above 100, there is internal stress, elasticity is strong, and it is unsuitable for large bending. Generally produced in the form of straight pipe.
2. Soft state copper tube processing methods and hard state copper tube compared to increase the annealing process, that is, in the high temperature furnace in the calcination, so that the copper tube inside the arrangement of the elements of the organisation of the morphology of the change, and further make the copper tube grain refinement, to eliminate internal stress. The tensile strength of soft copper pipe is between 235Mpa and 255Mpa, with an elongation of about 50%. Soft copper tube flexibility, low hardness, plasticity, suitable for bending and other reprocessing operations.
3. Semi-hard state of the hardness of the copper tube is between the hard state and the soft state, moulding is better than the hard state, but the strength is higher than the soft state.
With a certain degree of hardness and plasticity, applicable to the need for a certain degree of strength, but still need a certain degree of processing performance of the occasion.
II. Differences in application:
1. Different packaging
Hard copper tube is usually packed in the form of straight tube; while soft copper tube is packed in various forms, both in the form of straight tube and coiled tube.
2. Different applications
The difference between the soft and hard state not only makes the application direction of the purple copper tube is different, the impact on the construction is also very different. Soft state copper pipe hardness is low, good tensile properties, cutting and processing, more used in air conditioning, refrigerators, mechanical oil pipe and other places where bending is required, easy to expand, flare, bend and other operations. And, because the whole disc length of the coil is longer, when the piping connection points are far apart, the copper pipe can be freely intercepted according to the demand, thus avoiding the emergence of leakage holes when air conditioning copper pipe is soldered. The hard state copper pipe is not suitable for bending because of its own limitations, and is suitable for places where the connection distance is longer and bending is not required.
Classified by application, etc., the common American Standard copper tubes mainly include ASTM B68 (bright annealed seamless tubes), ASTM B88 (standard specification for copper water pipes), ASTM B111 (standard specification for copper and copper alloy seamless condensate tubes), and ASTM B280 (hard copper tubes).
It covers O60 (soft annealed/soft), O50 (lightly annealed/lightly soft), H55 (lightly drawn/semi-hard), H58 (drawn/hard), and H80 (hard drawn/extra hard).
